About me

Meryl Arnett

I am a mama, nature lover, meditation teacher, and the creator of Our Mindful Nature podcast. My passion is introducing mindfulness in ways that are accessible and enjoyable to all of us.

My meditation classes have been featured on CNN Headline News, TODAY.com, and Atlanta Magazine, and my podcast is consistently named a Top 10 meditation podcast. In 2022, Our Mindful Nature {formerly The Mindful Minute} podcast was in the top 5% most shared podcasts of the year. I have been teaching corporate, private & group meditation classes since 2010, working with thousands of students to fine-tune what really works for a daily, sustainable meditation practice.

I continue to study, practice, and find great inspiration from my teachers, Tracee Stanley and Chanti Tacoronte-Perez. I delight in combining the magical and the mundane - using nature, art, literature, and dream interpretation alongside the endless laundry, dishes and bills of real life to inspire and inform my teaching. My classes are a mash-up of creative inspirations, ancient teachings, and my own experiences on the meditation cushion. My goal as a teacher is to use meditation practices to infuse our real, everyday lives with the magic of an awakened heart.

Off the cushion, I am the mom to two amazing children {Asa & Maple}, partners with my high school crush and the oldest of four kids. I graduated from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communications (Go Dawgs!), and there is nothing I love more than spending time in the mountains with my family camping, hiking and marshmallow roasting.

“As a survivor of PTSD I have at times a very busy head and have tried meditation many times with little success. However, I find I have really connected with your podcast.”
